[[Swimming & vaccination]]

19 May 2008 Mon... Vesak Day = Public holiday!

Brought baby Zenden to United Sq as we wanna buy swim diaper for him. Swim diapers r said to b able to contain babies' motion if they happen to poo in the water, eliminating the fear of leakage.

Reached hm in the afternoon & off we went to the swimming pool downstairs. Baby's 1st swim at our condo pool!

We brought Zenden's float along wif us. Itz still brand new, he had not used it b4. However the moment I tried to put him in his boat, he cried. Haha... my silly boy! So I carried him close to me in the water. Tink the boat can b used when he's a little bigger.

Initially when I carried him down to the water, he cried a bit. His reaction was the same as the other time when we brought him for baby swimming at Punggol Plaza. Over there, the water was prepared for him warm but the pool water was cold. Maybe he was scared of the cold water. But after some warming up in the water, he got used to it.

Zenden had a warm bath after the swim. He was really tired as he fell asleep right after his bath.

Brought him to my mother-in-law's place in the evening. Darling bought dinner frm the coffeeshop downstairs. He treated me to chilli crabs & fried you tiao wif rice. Yummy yummy! Long long time since I ate crabs.

20 May 2008 Tue... Baby Zenden's 5th mth vaccination! The nurse took his height & weight tat day. He's 66cm & 7.13kg. Glad he has grown taller & heavier. =)

Dr. Edmund Koh gave Zenden his oral vaccination followed by his regular checkup. After tat was the vaccination on the thigh. Like always, darling used Zenden's fav rattle to distract him while I held on tight to his leg. Zenden did not cry at all. Dr. Koh was amazed once again.

He tok to us abt fruits & veggies for Zenden. We oso asked abt the appropriate age to intro the walker. He told us he dun really recommend it. Even if wanna use it, shd only use it for a short period of time. Itz better for him to crawl & eventually learn to walk without the walker. I had oso read abt the many disadvantages of a walker. Thus decided not to use it.

1st time wearing his Polo Ralph Lauren romper which we bought when he's still in my tummy. Back hm after vaccination wif the plaster on his left thigh!

Cooked lunch for darling. Rice wif fried egg, fish fillet, ebi prawns & veg. I cooked them 1 by 1 & then put them 2gether in a bowl. Darling laughed & said it looked like 杂菜饭 but told me itz delicious after eating. Luckily he said itz nice or else next time no more hm cooked meals of love for him haha...

[[Baby Zenden's day out!]]

Backdated to 16 May 2008... Baby Zenden's 1st time on the MRT & cab!

Hehe... I brought him wif me on a small adventure tat day & itz oso my 1st time bringing him out alone without darling.

Tat afternoon while on the MSN wif darling, I was telling him I wanna bring Zenden to his office. He asked me how am I going to go to his office without the car as he had driven it to work. Then I told him I would take public transport since Zenden had oso not been on a public transport b4.

When I got everything ready, I told darling I m setting off to his office. Haha... He was surprised as he thought I was only joking.

Initially I wanted to put Zenden in the carrier as itz more convenient than the stroller but itz in the car. So I carried Zenden all the way frm the hse to the MRT station which was a 10-15 mins walk. As I had to carry him as well as the diaper bag, my arms & back were aching when I reached the station lol...

During the walk, Zenden was babbling as he saw cars passing by. He seemed happy tat I brought him out, really cute! On the MRT, itz packed so I had to stand. Luckily a lady gave up her seat to me. Many pple were looking at Zenden & smiling at him.

I was glad he was very well-behaved throughout the long journey. We sat frm YCK to Buki Batok (11 stations in total) but Zenden sat quietly on my lap, looking curiously at his surroundings. =)

Upon reaching Bukit Batok, we had to take a bus b4 we can reach darling's office. But I am not very confident in carrying him on a moving bus without a carrier. Haha... scared my arms may give way if I had no place to sit. Thus I brought him to take a cab instead.

Darling came out frm his office to welcome us when we reached. He laughed at me coz I looked as if I juz went mountain climbing wif my tiring look. Tat's the end of my 1 hr adventure wif little Zenden! (;

18 May 2008... Baby Zenden's 1st trip to the Changi Airport!

Brought him wif us to Changi Airport Terminal 3. Itz all our 1st time there.

[[Baby's 1st time at a wedding]]

17 May 2008 Sat... Baby Zenden's 1st time attending a wedding!

Brought him along wif us to my cousin's wedding dinner which was held at Asian Civilisation Museum.

Baby Zenden finally got the chance to wear his new Levi's. It comes in a gift box which contains a pair of jeans, a white tee & a bib. Bought it for him when he was a newborn. Too big for him then but now the size is juz nice. =)

When everybody stood up to toast to the bride & groom & shouted "yum seng", little Zenden cried. Haha... guess he was startled by the loud voices. So darling carried him out. The museum was juz outside the ballrm & Zenden immediately quieten dw upon seeing the stuffs on displayed. So we took him on a tour ard the museum.

Zenden oso made a new fren at the dinner... A 19 mths old baby gal. Haha... Zenden's little gf! She kept coming to his stroller to peek at him. When he's at the museum, the baby gal oso came out wif her dad. She shook hands wif Zenden, so sweet!

Many strangers at the dinner oso played wif him, including the chef & the photographer who took many pics of him.

OMG! Baby Zenden has so many many pics & stories tat I have yet to blog. Pics of his 1st trip to the Changi Airport... 1st adventure wif me on the MRT & cab... 1st swim at the condo pool... His recent vaccination... Shall slowly upload them 1 by 1 here.

Btw... Zenden has started on pureed apple. Trying his 3rd fruit after avocado & banana! =)
