The timing is 2 hrs daily but for the 1st 3 days is only for an hr. Adults were allowed to stay inside for the 1st 3 days but were encouraged not to stay throughout if possible so as to let the children b independent.

I sneaked out when he's engrossed in playing his toys. He didn't notice I was gone so no crying from him on the 1st day. 1 hr passed quickly & itz time to go home. 1st day was gd.

I peeped outside thru the blinds & saw him still sitting & playing.

Went to the minimart nearby & got him a little reward. A keychain cum torchlight. I gave it to him when he finished sch & he's happy.

5 Jan 2010... 2nd day of sch.

There's still time b4 sch so brought Zenden to the playgrd.

In sch... the assistant teacher was washing his hands wif soap & water upon arrival.

There's no chance I could sneak out as he kept coming to me to show me the toys. Thus I told him I m going out to buy something & will come pick him up later. He cried. When the teacher was pacifying him, I quickly went out. I peeped thru the window & saw him still crying for me.
A few parents oso went out & peeped. Lots of crying as expected.

Day 3 in sch...

To go off & leave him in sch was the most emotional moment. When he knew I was going off, he held on to my hand & asked me to sit wif him in an abt-to-cry tone. Seeing him like pleading wif me to stay made tears form in my eyes. Really heartbreaking! But no choice, I got to let him learn so I went off when the teacher took him. The longer I stay, the more he will b dependent on me. It will b harder for him to adapt if that happens. Another mummy was oso outside, beside me peeping thru the window. Saw her weeping when she saw her daughter cry. Haiz... All mummies have the same feelings.

Day 4... Itz 2 hrs from the 4th day onwards. Zenden cried badly when I left. Photos were captured from the window.

Teacher was wiping his tears.

Cried until so pitiful.

Trying to pull the teacher to go wif him to take his shoes.

The teacher played songs for them. Saw Zenden crying but clapping his hands to the song.

Stopped crying after a while. Sat down & played the toys.

Maybe he thought of me & started to cry again.

Zoomed in & saw his sad expression. Poor thing...

Could c that he was not crying. Phew!

Day 5 seemed better. Little crying from him after I left. He ate biscuits (every Fri as provided by the sch), drank water, played, sang, danced, listened to story & did colouring.

The following Mon (11 Jan) & Tue (12 Jan) were back to the bad crying again when I left. He would go take his bag & shoes like wanting to go home. Perhaps itz due to the wkend, 2 days of no sch. But I m relieved that from Wed (13 jan) to Fri (15 Jan), he only cried for a while when I left. After that, no more crying. I went early b4 his dismissal to peep & saw him actually playing, singing & sitting down to listen to story happily wif his classmates. That's a great improvement & I hope he can adapt soon wif no crying at all. Itz really impt to assure him that I will pick him up. He's all smiles when the door opened & he saw me outside waiting to fetch him. :)
