17 Jun 2010... Little Zenden turns 30 mths old today! Another 6 more mths & he will b 3 yrs old. How time flies!

Happy 30th mth to our little 1! :)

Next mth when baby no.2 is born, he will become an elder brother. Hope he will love & get along well wif 弟弟.

I know in most cases when there is suddenly an additional little member to the family, the 1st child will tend to feel jealous as most attention will b given to the newborn. "Zenden, not to worry. Daddy & mummy will not neglect u. U will still b loved by all of us. We will take care of u like before. U & 弟弟 will b our most precious."

During my early stage of pregnancy, I can feel a little bit of jealousy in Zenden as he will sometimes throw temper at the slightest thing. Kids r really intelligent, they can sense when there r changes. Read up abt this issue & oso heard from others itz a passing stage whereby the 1st child is jealous of his unborn sibling in mummy's tummy & thus do things he usually dun to seek attention.

Thus we tried to get Zenden involved as much as possible in the preparation for the arrival of baby no.2. We brought him along for my gynae appointments. He is now so familiar wif the hospital, my gynae & as well as the nurses there. They all like him very much. During the scan, he will b looking at his 弟弟 in the monitor as well as listening to his heartbeat. He muz b thinking y is his little brother in black & white & y is his heartbeat so similar to the sound of a galloping horse haha...

After we thought of a name for baby no.2, we told Zenden abt it. From then on, he knows his little brother's name & whenever we ask where is he, Zenden will point to my tummy.

When he sees us sorting out clothes to wash for baby no.2, he will b telling us the clothes r too small for him & that they r for little brother. He oso knows some of the new stuffs we buy r for his little brother. During this period, we didn't forget abt Zenden. He still got new toys, books, vcds, shoes & clothes from all of us.


As we can see from his behaviour recently, Zenden is now more ready to have another sibling. He is getting more sensible. He will do errands for me when I ask him to help. He will talk to my tummy coz he knows his little brother is inside & stroke it. He will oso tell us what he wanna buy for his little brother when he is out.

He is talking so much now. Most of the time he really surprises us wif the amount of things he knows at his age. Really love him to the max!

When baby no.2 is born, we will b much busier than before. Taking care of a child is not easy, let alone parents of 2. Starting from scratch of looking after a newborn, guess we will b very tired. The confinement & breastfeeding period r going to b a challenging task for me again, hopefully I will b able to go through them smoothly.

Counting down to the days of labour, my 2nd experience. Wondering which day will baby no.2 be arriving on? Seriously I m afraid though darling will b in the labour ward wif me. Really pray that baby will b born healthy & cute. :)

If possible before giving birth, I will update again. Going for my gynae apppointment this Sat.
